Teeth Whitening Tips
No longer do you have to rely on visiting the dentist for
teeth whitening tips, or in order to whiten
your teeth. In fact, you can choose to obtain a brighter and
whiter smile from the comfort of your very own home.
Not only is it a more affordable option, but it also can be
done easily with ingredients you may already have in your home.
The following is a list of helpful tips from which you can
choose to use to get the sparkling white smile you have always
wanted:
1. Make a homemade paste with which to brush your
teeth
A homemade paste made of simple household ingredients is one
of the most popular ways to whiten teeth at home. These type of
pastes can be effective in removing slight stains from the
teeth which can make your teeth appear brighter and whiter. You
can choose to use a paste made of baking soda and salt, or a
paste made of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.
You can also add some white vinegar to the paste of baking
soda and salt. These are cheaper alternatives to the commercial
pastes on the market. You can mix up as large, or as small of a
quantity as you would like. Ensure that you do not swallow
these pastes, and you will also want to rinse afterwards.
2. Use fruit to whiten your teeth
It may be one of the most unbelievable tips out there, but
strawberries and oranges are known to help whiten teeth. When
using an orange, you will want to use the inside, or the white
part of the rind, to rub against your teeth to remove
stains.
If you choose strawberries, you can mash them up and brush
the pulp onto your teeth with your toothbrush, or you can rub
it on your teeth with your fingers. Afterwards, you will want
to rinse, and you may even choose to brush your teeth with
toothpaste.
3. Brush your teeth with a liquid
substance
Liquid substances that can be helpful are lemon juice and
salt, or apple cider vinegar. Often, people already have one of
more of these things as common household ingredients. Simply
dip your toothbrush into the substance you choose to use and
then brush your teeth thoroughly and rinse.
4. Use an electric toothbrush for more
friction
The use of an electric toothbrush can remove close to one
hundred percent of surface plaque, so it stands to reason that
it should be able to help in polishing away stains.
5. Choose an in-home commercial whitening
kit
There are many different types of kits that you can purchase
to aid in the whitening of your teeth. There are kits that
include gel trays that you insert into your mouth. There are
also strips that you can apply to your upper and lower teeth as
well.
The above tips are just a sample of things you can do at
home to help you achieve teeth that appear whiter. Many of the
above teeth whitening tips can also be used on a regular basis
to avoid stains, and keep your smile looking its best.
